👀👀. #Repost theedgeu with get_repost ・・・ Pain can be a loop . . Pain has the potential to reduce motor excitation potentials going to the muscle from the motor cortex. . . The motor cortex is where the message for muscle contraction is initiated. It’s signals are transmitted to the muscle, informing it to contract with a specific amount of force . . Pain has the ability to interfere with these messages. When we have pain, the motor cortex message might experience some inhibition, reducing the magnitude of the message being sent to the muscle. This loop can become learned, possibly leading to a learned pattern of reduced excitation and changed movement patterns. . . This is where tendon neuroplastic training has been utilized. The idea is to change the environment (add an external stimulus or other) to increase neuroplasticity and ultimate “rewire” the firing patterns. Si tienes mancuerna o lo que sea úsalas tanto como usas la nevera. Yo las tengo en el comedor y cuando las veo hago una mini serie de bíceps, o de hombros o de lo que sea. :40 Seconds Jump Squats 1:20 Rest Between Rounds *Hollow Hold: Tight core, keep shoulders off the ground, maintain hollow position and don’t forget to breathe. *Plank Row: if you don’t have a dumbbell, just tap your opposite elbow to your opposite hand and twist your body back up, alternate 3 to 4 reps per side or 20sec each side for the 40sec round. *Lateral Jump Over: Jump over any object, as long as you can clear it and don’t need a lot of time between reps, better if you add a tuck in there 😉 *Jump Squats: DONT STOP MOVING! Try and get as many reps as you can on those 40 sec, rest on your rest period. Full depth and full extension at top.

Gonna be honest, during this isolation I've been having mixed feelings about myself and honestly have been hating every second of it. “FITNESS IS A LIFESTYLE” 🙌🏼🙌🏼 . Trust me, it took me a while to be able to confidently say that fitness is my lifestyle. For the longest time, I didn’t get it. . I am naturally “extreme,” an all or nothing person. I know a lot of people can relate. I always want to dive in head first and be intense. So in the beginning of my fitness journey, I forced myself to have crazy and intense workouts everyday. Didn’t give myself a break, and looked at it as a “chore.” . But for fitness, that is not sustainable and definitely not a “lifestyle.” If something isn’t a lifestyle, it becomes a quick fix. Quick fixes never last! . When something is a quick fix, we are focused more on the destination rather than the JOURNEY. . So when you hit any bumps in the road, you freak out, get too strict on yourself, and then can’t maintain that strictness for very long. . This means that sooner than later... you’re going to get off track! . ❌EXTREME APPROACHES RESULT IN EXTREME DISAPPOINTMENT ❌ . So instead of heading toward the road of disappointment, why not make this a lifestyle so the process is actually SUSTAINABLE?! Better yet...enjoyable too! . I know it’s easier said than done and seems simple enough. But sometimes the most simple things are the hardest to get down. The important part is to keep trying! . Build your own full body workout!! - Feel free to plug in any exercise that fits the description and try it out! Guarantee it kicks your butt 👊🏼 - If you don’t know, E.M.O.M. Stands for every minute on the minute. - Meaning you have one minute to complete each exercise so if it only takes you 20 seconds to do 10 push-ups then you have 40 seconds to rest!! - So the faster you do each exercise the more time you get to rest so if you start to get tired and move slower then it gets harder!! - Once the minute is up you move on to the next exercise and have one minute to complete that. - Don’t choose more than 30 reps and try to do the five rounds consecutively and see how you do! - Here’s an example on that involves no equipment! - 1) 10 Push-ups 2) 15 Squat Jumps 3) 5 Burpees 4) 10 Towel Superman’s 5) 15 Glute Bridges 6) 20 Russian twists - Try it out and let me know what you think!!
