Correre, per me era essenziale, quando facevo Triathlon era il mio allenamento primario, attraverso la corsa non solo mi riscaldavo, ma scaricavo i nervi, riuscivo a concentrarmi. Entravo in un mondo tutto mio dove riuscivo ad estraniarmi dalla sofferenza, dai dolori sia muscolari che della mente... Non era correre, era volare... Sorvolare tutto. Staccandosi dal contesto. Attraverso il Triathlon ho scoperto posti che non avrei mai visto, quando corri ti accorgi di tanti particolari, che prima ti sembravano " scontati ", vedi i colori della natura, senti i rumori in maniera piu' intensa. La CORSA e' una disciplina spesso sottovalutata. Si sente dire spesso (specie nel mio lavoro), alla domanda : "Cosa fai di attivita'?", come risposta "Mah... ogni tanto corro... " . CORRERE e' in tutto e per tutto una disciplina motoria, che va saputa ALLENARE, che e' TECNICA, e COSTANZA. Come appoggiate il piede, la "rullata" del piede, la spinta , ecc. ANCHE CORRERE NOON E' AFFATTO BANALE! Bisogna saper correre BENE! 📌Contattatemi vi daro' consigli a riguardo...🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ MIGLIORANDO LA TECNICA SI MIGLIORA IL GESTO! 𝐘𝐨𝐮 might be wondering why I’m pointing and smiling at this tattoo?! If you’ve followed me for a while now you will remember me getting my dear friend draly to design this chemical compound in a way that made sense from a chemistry 🧪 standpoint. For those new to my page this tattoo represents ✌🏼 things the first ☝️ being what’s commonly referred to as “𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡” which is a natural occurrence in the brain of serotonin being released in the 🧠 following a long exhausting 🏃‍♀️. The ✌🏼 second is the chemical 𝐃𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞 which is what is lacking in production in the 🧠 of those suffering from 𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯. As for me I am no stranger to 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 and 𝐚𝐧𝐱𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 as it runs in my family. Even though I receive 𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 for it I still have my 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 days and 𝐛𝐚𝐝 days like anyone else 💁🏼‍♀️. When I got into 🏃‍♀️ half marathons I experienced for my ☝️x what a “𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩” actually was I felt like I was on 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 ☁️ 𝟗 🤩. Of course I became hooked on recreating that feeling of 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 that 𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 gives me. I also noticed it gave me a new 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐭 for my 𝘢𝘯𝘹𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺 and 𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵 week has been ☝️ of the hardest I’ve had in quite sometime. From having ✌🏼 emergency 🚨 situations resulting in ☝️ 🚑 ride followed by ✌🏼 𝐂𝐓 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐬, 𝟏 𝐄𝐊𝐆, and of course not to mention the ☝️ 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 emergency 🚨 dealing with a ❤️ one threatening to take their life while I begged and pleaded over the speaker 🔊 📱 to stop 🛑 and remind them of how 💕 they truly are. 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐄 is fine 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺 🙏🏼 but as you can imagine it’s taken a 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘭 on my 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 state tremendously. I am doing better this week however, I sometimes need a reminder that I 𝐂𝐀𝐍 overcome anything I set my mind to. Lastly, I leave you with this... If you are 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 just remember 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐀𝐫𝐞 ❤️ and 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 fighting ✊🏼👊🏼 you never know who 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 you!!!

Experimenting with a few new things in my workouts this week: • • • 1. Doubling the sets of key lifts at the beginning and end of my routine. For example, weighted Chin Ups and Dumbbell High Pulls in this workout. Extra reps while my heart rate is peaking = fat burn zone! • • • 2. Isometrics. Trying to move the unmovable. Load up the weight super heavy, and try to move it for 10 seconds. I like the cable machines for this. Pushing/pulling/curling. You should not be able to complete the movement. The key is 6-10 seconds of maximum muscle engagement. Here at Go Girl Bootcamps, we have members from all walks of life. loritfr has been a legacy member for many years; this is her story of how she’s living her best life 💕⁣ ************************************* When Go Girl asked me to write my journey, I hesitated a bit as it was very personal. I joined Go Girl about 4 years ago.⁣ ⁣ Why? Well for me it was about getting to a healthier place, emotionally/physically. Within a year, I did 3x 10k runs and 1 Spartan race. The year after, I did another 3x 10k runs and another Spartan race. I went from ‘I can never do that’ to ‘I will do that.’ I just recently turned 56 and I am in the best shape ever.⁣ ⁣ This is not the place about losing weight and then leaving after 6 weeks. This place has become a part of me and how it keeps me both mentally and physically healthy day in and day out. It’s a lifestyle choice NOT for the moment only choice.⁣ Yes I lost weight/inches along the way however mentally I have been able to get over many fears. This place is a community that helps women get stronger and healthier...the weight loss/the changes in your body...well that is a bonus. ⁣ ⁣ Go Girl is like a relationship; it’s a two way street. It’s up to you to accept what GG gives you and trust the process. Just when I think I can’t, I try and try again until I do. And there are days I fall off the horse, and I mean really fall off however there is always someone at Go Girl, either the coaches or a member that catches you and gets you back on the horse.⁣ ⁣ The coaches are the same ones since I started and trust me not many places can say that....Lina, Pam, and Yeeshin. I can never thank them enough for their encouragement and for just being there on the days I fall off the horse. They know when to push harder and know when to let me rest....in the end it’s up to you to trust GG or the YPL (Yeeshin, Pam, Lina) process. #NFE....⁣ ⁣ Lori
