I am in absolute complete shock. I got to see my x-rays before my parents so when I went back to the room. My momma said " how was it?" And all I did was cry. I cried tears of joy. It’s created ease of access to books through the audible app, podcasts and radio shows through the podcast app, and music through Spotify, Pandora, and Apple Music. ⠀ ⠀ Music has been shown in studies to not only help motivate but also decrease pain in people. So if you’re an amped up lifter who blasts music it’ll help your lifts. If you hate being there and like books you can distract yourself slightly by listening to something you enjoy.⠀ ⠀ .⠀ ⠀ 2. Find a gym that is either on your way to work or on your way home from work. If you work your schedule correctly, you should be able to hit your workout before or after your work day and it’ll prevent you from sitting on your couch and fighting the lazy vibes. ⠀ ⠀ Figure out if you’re a morning or evening person then make your workout happen at that time! ⠀ ⠀ .⠀ ⠀ 3. Find a gym partner or friend. Exchange numbers, if you don’t like working out with someone then just keep in check with each other. 👇Abs activated vs abs not activated👇 - In the first picture, I am creating full body tension, by squeezing my abs and my glutes, this makes any exercise where your working too stabilize your body way more effective, and will make the exercises safer on your spine, - The second picture is what happens when you don’t activate your abs or glutes, - Too activate my abs, I always take a deep breath in, if I’m laying on my back I put my hands on my stomach, so I can feel my belly push my hands out and you’ll also feel your ribs expand, than I tighten my abs like I’m getting ready for someone too punch me, after tightening my abs, I exhale slightly too bring my ribs down, than I squeeze my glutes, if you do this right, you should feel your ribs come down and your belly button draw in towards your spine, this will activate all your inner abs, which will help you keep your spine in neutral, - If you have a hard time doing this with planks, start with laying on your back and placing your hands on your stomach so you can feel what’s happening, - Hope this helps!!!!!

This is Hugh. After doing an assessment we found a lot of issues with his joints, nothing that really causes severe pain at this moment in time but things need to be addressed. Every single one of my clients performs these Cat Cows prior to each session and we aim for fluidity and control using the range that we have. As you can see Hugh is very blocked up towards the lumbar, however he is applying effort and intent to execute the movement. Still focuses on maintaining control and trying to essentially move each part of his spine separately from top to bottom/bottom to top. Ever wondered, What are muscle knots? Muscle knots are typically found in your back, shoulders, and neck. They are stiff bands of muscle that have a hard knob in the centre, which is known as a trigger point. The pain can either pop up spontaneously (active) or when the trigger point is pressed (latent). But in all cases, muscle knots cause pain to radiate beyond the trigger point into the surrounding muscles. How are muscle knots treated?
