Arrivals of Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO)

As said in the topic regarding Departures flights, only Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 are operating nowadays. They have both arrivals and departures areas. Termina l‘s arrivals area is shared with Terminal 2. Terminal 3 serves domestic flights, Schengen, Non-Schengen, and Intercontinental Flights. In 2006, New International Boarding Area E was opened and for the aim of supporting extra-Schengen flights. It has a free airport shuttle service for the whole year, and it works every 15 minutes. It is connected with the train and operates with 76 airlines. It has the information desk at the Arrivals area, at the exit after the luggage delivery area. It is open from 07:15h to 15:00h. In addition with boarding area E, the Boarding area F has been realized too. The boarding areas are the complex that is focused on greater functionality and harmony of form. It corresponds to works at major international airports and will consist of two buildings with a total area of 75,200 square meters. The first building (Boarding area E) is an inner courtyard that will expand the existing Terminal 3, directly connected to the quay (Boarding area F) so that two buildings can accommodate a total of 5 million passengers per year. The new boarding area F is 200 meters long and 40 meters wide, it will be equipped with a new control and automatic sorting of the registered baggage system in the basement. The complex will have 8 gates for remote landing in the front yard, and 14 more gates, served by boarding bridges on the pier.

The intervention will include gaps for retail space, services, food and airline lounges. Civil works, largely financed by ADR, will be carried out by A.T.I. (temporary consolidation of companies) under the leadership of Cimolai S.p.A. ADR Engineering supervises the construction works that are going to be carried out.
